A global story finds its African rhythm.
Born on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Montreux Jazz Festival has travelled the world – from Tokyo to Miami, Rio to São Paulo and beyond.
In 2026, it finds a new home in Franschhoek, South Africa – a place where cultures, histories, and creative voices converge. The first Montreux Jazz Festival on the African continent.
Each festival is jazz-inspired. They are not limited by being genre specific. Like the music itself, these festivals thrive on improvisation, diversity, and collaboration.
In Franschhoek, that philosophy is a celebration of Africa’s artistic heartbeat, its resilience, and its well-deserved place in the global Montreux family.
GIVING BACK
When Montreux meets Africa, everyone rises.
At its heart, Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek celebrates creativity with purpose.
Through this festival, we’re proud to support FRANCO (Franschhoek Resource and Network Coordinating Organisation) – empowering community arts and education in Franschhoek – and the Uncorked Music Academy, nurturing the next generation of young South African musicians.
Your ticket will help amplify their voices and sustain the creative future of our region.
