More than a festival.
A way of life.

More than a festival.
A way of life.

Montreux has always been more than a place to listen – it is a place to feel.

In Franschhoek, that feeling comes alive through:

  • An intimate main stage, framed by vineyards, mountains and historic architecture
  • Immersive hospitality, where fine food, wine and thoughtful design are woven into the fabric of the valley
  • Unexpected encounters – masterclasses, spontaneous pop-ups, new friendships and the discovery of fresh sounds
  • Premium, made personal -elegant lounges, bespoke travel options and warm South African hospitality

Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek is a multi-genre, layered experience led by hospitality but accessible in different ways. Two stages – The Arches and Jazz Village – are connected by a walkable festival corridor known as the Montreux Mile, activating the village and inviting audiences to explore beyond the stages.

From lunchtime to midnight, guests are encouraged to move between spaces, discover pop-up moments, enjoy food and wine offerings, and fully immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere.

What defines the festival is its sense of rhythm. It is as much a place to refresh, restore and soak up the ambience as it is to move, dance and celebrate as the tempo builds from day into night. The experience is premium by design – but never static. The music leads, the mood shifts, and the festival reveals itself in waves.

The Arches | Main Stage

The Arches is the musical heart of the festival, hosting performances from lunchtime through to midnight.

Guests can choose from three carefully curated access offerings:

  • Prelude – general access for those who want to be close to the music itself
  • Crescendo Lounge – an elevated hospitality environment offering added comfort and connection
  • Adagio Terrace – a premium experience designed for those seeking the most refined way to engage with the festival

Each tier is designed to enhance the performance without distracting from it – allowing the music to remain centre stage.

Jazz Village | NG Church Complex

Jazz Village offers a more flexible, social and intimate way to experience the festival.

Shows are ticketed per performance, inviting discerning listeners to savour jazz in its many forms from 3pm to midnight.

Surrounding the stage is a vibrant environment of public bars, food trucks, markets and pop-ups – a place to gather, discover and linger as the energy builds into the night.

The Jazz Village is reserved seating.

The Sunday Slowdown | 29 March

As the weekend draws to a close, the festival eases into Sunday Slowdown – a softer, more reflective way to experience Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek.

Expect a chilled, soulful atmosphere designed to keep the vibe alive while lowering the tempo.

This is an un-ticketed event – more details will be revealed soon.
